Is it possible to recover AOL Instant Messenger conversations from a year ago?
Q. I am trying to recover some conversations I had on AOL Instant Messenger with a friend of mine a year or so ago. I don't have Trillian or any of those programs that seem to log conversations, and I'm not sure if AIM logs conversations anywhere. Does anyone know if AIM automatically logged conversations prior to version 6.0 (maybe in some wierd hidden place)? And if they can be recovered? The older AIM had manual archiving? I Still have an older version of AIM. Where is the archiving option?

Why does AOL Instant Messenger disconnect whenever I turn on my Playstation 3?
Q. My computer is on a Linksys wireless router. When I turn on my Playstation 3, it connects wirelessly to the router for internet access. I manually set it with an IP address and it works fine. A. Customer service may have to do it..It wont make any difference being open or closed if yiu dont use it but if you must close it then you can do so by contacting aim.com or aol.com and telling them that you would like to close it.They will do it for you.

A. a lot of times if you double click it, it uploads to your messenger automatically if that doesn't happen then right click it, save as or Save Image to a folder in your computer make sure you have the newest version of AIM Go to the top of the messenger and click Edit then click Settings find the Expressions tab then locate the link that says Browse it should be under your current icon then locate the image you saved and click it then click ok then click apply or ok you're image should be showing!

get rid of Aol instant messenger expressions?
Q. i was talking to my friend on aim and was kinda bored so i was clicking on random stuff. there was a paintbrush icon in the instant messenger box (which i think means expressions) and i randomly clicked on one. Now whenever i go on aim i have a weird background in the messenger box and my friends i talk to see it too. i've tried everything to get rid of it, i even deleted aim off my computor and then downloaded it again but the picture is still there. any suggestions?

A. If you're logged on and can see your buddy list, you're already online. If you don't have anyone on your buddy list, then you need to do that first. When you see the name on your list, just double click it and you can message away!

A. If you're logged on and can see your buddy list, you're already online. If you don't have anyone on your buddy list, then you need to do that first. When you see the name on your list, just double click it and you can message away!
